Description

Spellfire is a 1v1 spellcasting arena where the goal is to capture the middle of the map while holding off your opponent.
The game used Unreal Engine 4 and Steamworks for networking and gameplay.
I worked on everything from the server browser to the gameplay systems, including spells, abilities, scoring, and win conditions.

Gameplay and networking developer.

Contributions

  • Made a server browser to be able to connect to other steam users.
  • Implemented networking, replication of game state, and player input.
  • Implemented gameplay systems with spells, abilities, scoring, and win conditions.
  • Integrated FMOD Studio for sound effects and music.
  • Integrated Steamworks sessions using Advanced Sessions Plugin.
